It’s the magical time of year! The time when Erin Condren shares her latest and greatest layout with us! I am always SUPER pumped to preview the newest designs. This time of year marks the excitement and anticipation of being able to order a new life planner, and the anticipation only increases with the 2-3 weeks of waiting to receive your customized Life Planner in that beautiful decorative box, wrapped in colorful tissue paper, smelling of plastic, organization, and promise.
Have you seen the new Blog Post on the Erin Condren website? If you haven’t had the chance to look at the new design previews yet, the link to her Blog post is here, and there are a lot of new and exciting features coming our way!
One of the coolest features is the dry erase board on the inside of each cover – how fun is this? I like the idea of keeping a running to do list here, or possibly even errands to run, shopping lists, the possibilities are endless! I love me a to – do list, so I think this is going to be a really great feature for me, but a large portion of the planner community as well. Also take note of the black coil in the same photo. Apparently this is a new option added the rotation of choices that Erin Condren already provides – Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and now Black. I’m kind of intrigued by the black, to be honest I think it super modern and reminds me of the rings on the Happy Planner, which I like. Definitely a good choice to add to the rotation, but I’m not sure if I like it enough to deter me from the Gold coil I’m currently rocking and loving so much. I’d also be concerned about the black chipping and be interested in seeing how it’s made and manufactured.
Layouts will remain the same in terms of horizontal, vertical and hourly. Not sure what minor changes will be made to the the layouts themselves, as there usually are some. The colors, however, will be changing. I am not crazy about this AT ALL. I LOVE the beautiful jewel tones that my Horizontal Planner currently features. The colors are absolutely stunning, and I have been so happy with them for the entirety of this year. As of right now, it seems as though there will be two color choices for all three layouts – colorful, which seems to be the traditional Bright pallet that is signature to Erin Condren pictured here and Neutral, which looks like Black, White and Grey as pictured here. Not sure which I like better at this point. I really want to like the Neutral pallet, I really do. I’m just not sure how crazy I would be about decorating a black spread every week, that is, if it is black every week. I’m anxious to see more, but am leaning towards Colorful at the moment.
Another new feature is the “Plan for It Pouch.” Super cute! It looks as though it will replace the zip pouch in the current Erin Condren line. Apparently, it is separate from the actual planner itself, and you have the option of using a 6″ coil clip to attach it into the body of the planner, or the option to keep it separate and use it as a pen case, sticker pouch, accessory case, etc. The pattern “mid century circles” is really adorable as well. I’m excited for this change as well! It will be nice to have the option to remove or attach the pouch.
