This week started off, hectic, as always. The highlights include:
- Spending a whole bunch of money on wedding bills, and regular bills – I LOVE watching my money disappear – not.
- Grading 37 papers – I found that grading a few ‘here and there’ wasn’t making a dent, so I set a schedule and did 5 a day, marked by the adorable Studio L2E stamp check lists. So cute, and managed to get my work done. Without a doubt, the least favorite part of my job.
- My bridal shower on Saturday – I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many incredible women – my mom and sister really just out did themselves on making such a perfect day for all of us. We had tea (My Fave), walked around the gardens, and enjoyed each other’s company – it was truly a lovely day.
- Cappies Gala Sunday Night – I’m a high school theatre director, and the award ceremony for the area’s theatre awards (best actress, best actor, etc) was Sunday night. It was a black tie event, so I did my first ever, Rent the Runway and it was a FABULOUS experience. The kids had so much fun, and it was so wonderful to see them all dressed up and so supportive of each other – I LOVE those moments. They are my favorite as a teacher 🙂
As far as decorating is concerned, I am not sure what caused me to pull out my Studio L2E stamps, but I am so happy I did. I’m really into texture when I decorate – I like using different mediums to really get a ‘scrapbook’ kind of feel to my planner. I use a whole combination of things when I plan – weekly kits, stickers from different Etsy shops, washi tape, sticker book stickers, scrapbook stickers, page flags, etc. I really feel like the Stamps add another layer of texture, which I find to be really fun and give a handmade look to my ECLP. I love it! Otherwise, I pulled out all the random pink, gold and mint samplers, stickers and washi I could find, and just kept layering and layering and pilling planner supplies on top of planner supplies. And that’s how I planned this week. Bada – bing Bada – boom!
